IC Technologies has the expertise, resources and experience creating unique shapes and freeform LED video displays.

We consult in what products or treatments to use in order to create the wanted effect and display. We source specific custom products for specific uses with its accompanying technical specifications.

With the help of our LED LAB we can visualize the various resolutions, products and treatments possible. We develop CAD drawings to build the mechanics and product specs, generate cable diagrams to explain the flow of communications and technical needs, and create mock-ups or prototypes to brainstorm and fine-tune the design. We can assist content management services to get the best possible imagery on the custom product.

Single Pixel and Custom Mechanical:

Single pixels offer the freedom to create unique shapes and forms. The spheres, serpentine wall and individually bars in the accompanying pictures are an example of how you can ‘play’ creatively and create video walls that no one else has. You can pretty much make any 2D or 3D design and have it populated with pixels to create a unique moving experience.

Small High Res Module and Custom Mechanics


Using small high resolution tiles integrated in Custom mechanics creates a better resolution display than single pixels and strips, but still allows you some creative freedom like the curved walls, globe and wall in the pictures above indicate.

Low Res Panel & Custom Mechanical Structures

Cubes, Circles, Cylinders, and even moving and folding up is all possible and done before with low resolution panels build into custom mechanical structures as the examples above show.

High Resolution Panel & Custom Mechanical

Having higher resolution imagery but not wanting it rectangular is possible by creating custom mechanical structures and integrating high-resolution panels into it. It takes quite a bit of detailed engineering and custom content designing, but you will have a display of high quality and high resolution in a unique way as the cubes and bars indicate in the pictures above.

High Brightness RGB and Custom Mechanical Structures

The advantage of high brightness pixels is that you can use them in many environments and have individually controllable pixels. Diffusing and integrating these pixels is easily achieved and can create great freeform effects.

Custom Circuit Board and Custom Mechanical Structures

Custom circuit boards will allow you to create displays in freeform shapes specific to your project – they will automatically be created within a custom mechanical structure. Projects like in the images above will be easier to achieve.

Single Pixel and Diffusers:

By using single pixels you can create any freeform design and with diffusers you can smoothen the image by using fabric or scrim, encapsulated in plastic balls like above, or you can integrate it within the environment by using metals, glass and a slew of other diffusing metals. Strip & Diffuser

Smoothening the imagery by using acrylic on strips so the individual pixels are not visible. You can use all kinds of fabrics, scrim, plastics or even glass to create a diffused effect on the led’s.

Small High Res Module and Diffusers

Diffusing High Resolution led video tiles gives the display a softer look and feel. The haziness created by diffusing eliminates any individual pixels and makes it a creative ‘smokey’ content.

Low Res Panel and Diffuser

Efficient low-resolution products are often used with diffusers, still enabling moving imagery in many environments while seeing individual pixels less prevalent. A true solution to create unique atmospheres and creative looks in any space. The four panel pictures show multiple examples from no diffuser to fabric, to acrylic, to mirrored glass.

High Resolution and Diffusing

When using diffusing with high resolution modules you may lose some of the resolution, but you achieve a very unique effect as the red fabric does in the picture, the frosted glass does to the office wall and the low res panels in front of high res panels in the pictures above. Typically combining non diffused areas with diffused parts is the best way to play with diffusing high resolution panels.

High Brightness RGB and Diffuser

High brightness pixels with a wide angle lend itself perfectly for diffusion – as the examples of the TV studio pictures above indicate. The individually controllable pixels offer a pattern and changing environment easily.

With strips you can play around with the design as if you are masking. In the above picture is a creative use where the strips are placed and spaced out as if masking is applied.

Low Resolutions and Masking

Typical low resolution panels are made square or rectangular, but with masking you can create circles as the picture above shows. And the 2nd picture with the masking created a grid look that the designer was looking for while still being able to integrate seamless and lightweight video displays.

High Resolution and Masking

Achieving free form and out of the box shaped video displays is easily achieved with masking, or in other words blocking out areas of the panels to create the circle, wave and odd shaped rectangle in the pictures above.

Typically these high brightness pixels are on custom size strings and integrated in custom mechanics and applied with diffusing special shapes and freeform you generate a custom design.

Single Pixel and Floors & Ceilings

The unlimited freedom of single pixels was used to its maximum in the set picture above, both the floor and ‘orange peel’ back drop was a steel set populated with single pixels protected with acrylic covering. Individual pixels used in the ceiling pictures are unique ways for atmospheric effect included with messaging.

Strip and Floor & Ceiling

Strips enable you to create floors, walls and ceilings at the same time as the pictures above show you.  Spacing it at various distances between the strips can offer you a tapered effect, spacing it closer or further away from each other offers different resolutions, angling it in different directions offer a three dimensional feel – all offer truly creative video floors and ceilings.

Low-resolution panels allows with relative ease to create video floors and ceilings. Typically these panels are lightweight and have enough hanging and mounting points to place it in unique spaces.

When using single pixels integrated in materials like the steel facing in the freeform picture, the pixels encapsulated in sphere build into a holiday tree and the circular tube enables you to have a ‘sculpture’ when the video is not running.

Glass, plastics, scrims, fabrics and metals used in front of an LED screen gives it a  total different look and feel. Frosted glass can soften the video imagery. Metals can offer an industrial look.
